In accordance with the prophesy...

Earlier this year, I was trying to explain to someone online that prophesy isn't particularly good evidence for deities or for the supernatural. My reasoning went something like this:
If I were to say "On Sunday, August 14, 2011 the goddess Astreja shall go to the Starbucks in Osborne Village and order Herself a tall dark roast," it would be trivial to make it happen. All I would have to do is drive down there (or get there on foot, by bike, bus or cab), walk into the coffee shop, and place the order.
So guess what I did today?

That's right: I went to the Starbucks in Osborne Village and ordered Myself a tall dark roast (and a trail mix cookie and something for Red, too). And I have the receipt to prove it:

The bottom line is this: If you can "fulfill a prophesy" through mundane actions such as jumping in a car and plunking down $7.67 CDN, it ain't a prophesy and it ain't divine. I remain agnostic of My own divinity.
