In the Springy G tradition of practising Xtreme Renovations any time I get a 3-day weekend, I spent a good portion of Canada Day bringing down the plaster ceiling in My study.
As predicted in this post, I am making much better time on ceiling demolition than on subfloor construction. Gravity, and the presence of a good, solid place to stand while I work, seem to be making a difference.
Mass quantities of water, regular rest breaks and a huge supply of garbage bags doesn't hurt, either.
Happy Canada Day, and remember: If *you* have a green {purple, orange, sky-blue pink} ceiling that needs to be terminated with extreme prejudice, don't forget to wear your protective gear.

Darth Varder? Is that you?
Now that you mention it, that does look a bit like Darth.
Complete with a light saber and a red plaid hat.
