Springy Goddess, on a mission

Well, we're now one whole day into the summer of 2011 (or the winter, if you live in the Southern Hemisphere), and I now have 9 months to recover from spring.

This past season was a lot like work... Except when I was having a jolly good time. For instance, I played several gigs in the clarinet section of the Northwinds Community Band, including this one at The Forks in early June:

That's Me with the shiny sunglasses and the big smile, gearing up to play The Blues Brothers Revue (arrangement by Jay Bocook). It's particularly poignant in that I actually met Dan Aykroyd last year at an autograph signing. Really nice guy, BTW.

When I wasn't tootling melodiously (or staring in horror at a page of 32nd notes with My lip demisemiquavering), I was either building or destroying stuff.

As of last Sunday, I now have a lovely new sidewalk in front of Astrejurhof.

However, as of Right Now, the ceiling in My study is still green. I really must do something about that.

But not tonight... There's bigger game afoot. (Picks up clarinet and starts practising the Merrie Melodies theme)
